If I hook the front panel cable for HD audio on the CMii case to the ga-x85a-ud3r, and then hook up headset to front ports, the HD audio panel continually flickers back and forth between “mic” and “headset” detection dialogs. I’m guessing this is “closer” to the in-house builds and was obtained directly from communication with Gigabyte employees?

What kexts do I need to enable this audio? This is va-x58a-ud3r beta version and not yet for general release as far as i can see. It doesn’t happen all the time, but regularly enough to be an issue. I have loaded optimize defaults in the BIOS and the system is not overclocked. Just pull the DSDT from their database for your motherboard and follow the instructions on the forum. After going through a mess of switching between the onboard sound as well as discrete sound cards and USB sound and with different drivers, I wasn’t able to pin the problem down.
